Job Title: Sales Representative
City: Bangalore
Job Description: Primary responsibility will be to achieve quarter on
quarter the stipulated booking & revenue numbers from
assigned territory / accounts with mandate of generating
new opportunities in existing accounts as well as from new
accounts.

The role mandates value based selling & work closely with
Pre-Sales, Marketing and Sr. Management in exceeding the
Quota. Understanding of some of the markets in Technical
computing namely on Manufacturing, Research Agencies,
Government, Defense, and Business computing markets are
Internet Companies, IDC service providers will be
mandatory. Sales strategy, planning, aligning tactical
account / territory business plans with overall corporate
strategy; actively develops & manages account / territory
business plans to meet quota as per the business plans in
timely fashion. Build, monitor & orchestrate sales pipeline
through SIEBEL tool to ensure continuous population &
movement of near & long-term opportunities. Responsible for
stipulated Funnel growth QoQ (Minimum of 3-5x of stipulated
booking numbers). Manage rolling weekly forecast to ensure
timely & accurate projections are provided to the Sales
Manager. Critically assess deals to ensure soundness &
problem-free closure & error free logging of the order into
SGI system & ensure on time revenue recognition is achieved
as per the commit. Uses competitive intelligence in
account planning & sales activities to develop counter
strategies that will neutralize competitive influence on
the customer's buying decisions against SGI. Contributes to
enduring executive relationships at the highest levels of
the client's organization; personally interacts with
executives; establishes professional relationships &
credibility with key Information Technology (IT) & business
executives.


Job Requirements: B.E / MBA. Must be Team Player, Self-motivated, creative,
flexible determined to succeed & excel. Enthusiastic & hard
working attitude. Good planning & organizing skills
Excellent Presentation & Communication Skills
Strong Business Acumen. Good problem solving qualities.
Minimum 10 years of total work experience out of which 6-8
years in sales and a minimum of 3-5 years of work
experience in Southern India Territory mainly Bangalore,
Hyderabad and Chennai. Large account management skills are
mandatory. Must have proven track record in solution
selling & should have managed business to USD 3-5 Million.
Experience in closing large deals of USD 1Million
The role demands a minimum of 25% travel on business to
perform judicially sales activities.

Following experience a plus, but not required:

elling SGI HPC solutions
- Work experience with a similar multi-national company
like HP, IBM, SUN, EMC, Netapp or with large Indian System
Integrator organizations
- Experience in handling accounts namely Department of
Space (DoS), ISRO organizations (ISTRAC, ISAC, NRSC, ADRIN,
MCF etc), DRDO Labs, CSIR Labs, HAL, IISc, TCS, Wipro,
Infotech, University of Hyderabad, BEL, BHEL, BEML etc
