Job Title: Benchmarking Software Test Engineer
City: Shanghai
Job Description: Primary Responsibilities include:
Oversight and execution of industry standard benchmarks
for server and storage products like SPEC CPU, SPECOMP,
SPECMPI, NASPB, SPECjbb_2005, VMmark and others.
Port and tune applications at source code level and
conduct application profiles and performance analysis
Formulation and design of software systems incorporating
scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict
design tradeoff outcomes and consequences based on measured
data.
Training software test engineers and field system
engineers .
Working with product engineering to qualify performance on
new products and support the sales team with pre-sales
technical assistance and standard benchmarks
Job Requirements: BS, MS, or PhD computer science, physical science, applied
mathematics or equivalent
5 to 10 years experience and knowledge of x86 architecture
(both hardware and software)
In-depth knowledge of computer architecture, both at the
processor level and at the system level
Experience with code profiling tools such as VTune, pfmon,
PAPI, oprofile, etc.
Proficiency with Linux and/or Windows operating systems,
including scripting
Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as C
or Fortran
Familiarity with parallel programming standards such as
MPI and OpenMP
Ability to work effectively with a geographically
distributed organization
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite to report results of
his work and make presentations
Very good oral and written communication skills in English
