Description The Software Project Manager is responsible for planning and leadership that supports project success criteria – scope, schedule, quality, budget, customer satisfaction and overall risk. The manager can expect to work on several simultaneous projects in a challenging environment. Expectation setting, communication (oral/written), adaptability, creative problem solving and change management skills are critical.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

- Manage a small group of team members using an Agile methodology, specifically Scrum.
- Work with business stakeholders and development leads to create end-to-end project plans, including key milestones.
- Readily identify and manage key areas of risk – scope, schedule, quality, budget and customer satisfaction.
- Author weekly project status reports
- Use estimates to determine staffing and release plan for new development.
- Facilitate rhythmic project meetings, including estimations, daily status, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews, UAT planning and deployment planning.
- Continuous monitoring of unplanned work and the resulting impact on budget/schedule.
- Manage change through strong written/oral communication.
- Radiate motivation. Be a leader.
Requirements - Completed four year degree in related business program.
- Two or more years working experience in an Agile/Scrum business analyst role.
- Strong working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint and Visio.
- One or more years experience in software development/engineering.
- Effective methods for written/oral communication between business stakeholders and software development engineers.
- Ability to understand, document and analyze business & data flow processes.
- An openness to change.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- ScrumMaster certification a plus.
- PMP certification a plus.
- One or more years experience working as a Project Manager in software development projects a plus.
- One or more years experience working as a Software Tester in software development projects a plus.
