Reporting to the Pickerington, OH office.
The DSS Local EMAC Specialist has three primary responsibilities:
- To grow electromechanical and access control product sales through diverse influencers and decision makers in a team selling environment.
- To be able to train the channel, end users, influencers and internal DSS personnel on the proper use and application of our electromechanical access control products.
- To be able to read, write, and process wiring diagrams, sit in pre-installation meetings with electrical contractors and other related players, conduct site surveys, and conduct post-install checks.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Become competent in the knowledge and brands within ASSA ABLOY’s EMAC product/system/solution offering.
- Become “Go-To” person within the respective territory as all new EMAC products and systems are released.
- Make joint sales calls with the internal territory DSS personnel. This can be in any segment (i.e. end user specialists calling on building owners, architectural representatives calling on architects and specification consultants, and channel specialists calling on distribution.).
- Able to work within a business unit that employs a team-selling and consultative selling approach.
- Strategic thinker; able to “develop” business where it does not exist today.
- Presentation skills and abilities. Able to present to a group of multiple decision makers in various segments.
- Able to clearly understand ASSA ABLOY’s channel strategy, and capable of conveying the message to our various channel partners in a way that is simple and easy to understand.
- Plan and conduct product and solution training sessions with the channel, influencers and internal DSS personnel.
- Be pro-active in conducting facility ‘walk-throughs”. Ability to “diagnose” the door opening to determine root cause of any EMAC product-related issue.
- Ability to then take the root cause and clearly and concisely articulate the issue to the related players (channel partner, building owner, general contractor.).
- Provide market intelligence, product and solution input and feedback, and necessary recommendations to the R&D teams at headquarters.
