Job description Our prestigious client a leading global provider of engineering and construction services, technology products and integrated solutions, is currently seeking two Principal Electrical Engineers to be based in London.

The role will involve providing technical and organisational expertise to project and bid teams to ensure technical and commercial adequacy of electrical engineering. To give technical support to less experienced engineers and to provide assistance to the Chief Engineer as needed. Successful candidates will be required to coordinate with Project Managers, Proposal Managers, Chief Engineer (EIT), Project Engineers, and other Principal Engineers.

Responsibilities and Duties will include;

-To assume total responsibility for the electrical elements of a project or proposal as assigned by Chief Engineer (EIT).
- Production of project specifications, formulating technical content of requisitions, approval of vendor data and relevant CB&I drawings and documents.
- Preparation / checking of engineering calculations.
- To proactively instigate corrective action as necessary within team, project or with suppliers to ensure that budgets and schedules are met.
- Coordination and control of engineering man-hours and costs associated with the electrical engineering component of the project or proposal.
- Approval of all technical decisions made by engineers allocated to the electrical engineering team for a particular project.
- Report on a regular basis on all matters affecting technical problems, costs, or programme to the Project Engineer or Chief Engineer as appropriate.

Candidates must be degree qualified chartered engineers who have previously held a similar role. Previous experience in oil and gas or related industries is essential. Salary is negotiable.
