To provide Project Engineering expertise for the company and management of allocated engineering resources within assigned projects. To have overall responsibility for the execution and delivery of engineering solutions for allocated projects. Manage and deliver engineering tasks within agreed timescales and budgets and reporting system status and deviations to the Project Manager. Organisation and day to day management of the project engineering issues. Ensure compliance with technical integrity standards and project procedures. Ensure work packages and data deliverables are compiled and filed in accordance with company/contract procedures. Assist in the monitoring and control of the project budget and schedule in order to ensure targets are met. Help co-ordinate all interface and change management activities for the project. Participate in the Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZIDs, Risk Assessments etc. General support to the Project Manager and / or Senior Project Engineer on project issues resulting in the timely delivery and execution of the project. Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager with planning and resource allocation to meet goals and objectives. Liaison with third parties and client representatives as required on contractually agreed project execution scope of supply; technical only all commercial aspects are dealt with by the PM. Identify variations to contractual scope of supply and inform Project Manager and System engineer to assess impact. Define technical responsibilities within the project – interfaces and work packages. Assist System engineer on technical risk assessment, Bid Vs Customer specification evaluation – assess impact on Project programme and deliverables. Inform System engineer of any technical changes affecting scope of supply or system design functionality. Monitor Project progress and deliverables through regular review meetings. Monitor timelines of system reviews throughout the project. Ensure each project and work package is closed out in accordance with company / project procedures. Manage FIT scope of work liaising with manufacturing and SLS to ensure adequate resource allocation. Support SLS through commissioning phase of project. Mentor and aid development of assigned engineers.
Knowledge and Experience:
Degree/HND but must have good first hand knowledge of project environment. Demonstrable relevant Project Engineering experience preferably within the Oil and Gas industry. Preferably Chartered Engineer Status. Able to monitor and manage Engineering efforts. Able to monitor and manage master document list. Able to act as Interface Engineer as required. Able to manage own budgets (hours) for given project. Working knowledge of MS Office or equivalent. Working knowledge of MS Windows. Familiar with Company Operating Systems, procedures and processes. Ability to work effectively as part of a multi disciplined project team. Good presentation and organisational skills. Working knowledge of technical drawing construction and applicable standards. Understanding and working knowledge of subsea control system architecture. Understanding of hydraulic and/or electrical systems.
