We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager to manage, develop and grow the store team to deliver total satisfaction to our customers which will leave them feeling delighted. You’ll support all aspects of the store from retail to lab which will see every working day filled with variety.
You’ll understand the need to drive and challenge the team towards the achievement of store Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and also take responsibility for effective staff scheduling to ensure the store can meet sales demands and maximise peak hours of trading.
You’ll have a passion for exceeding customer’s expectations as well your own. You’ll also support the Store Manager in creating an environment that encourages a sense of responsibility, accountability, involvement and ownership. You’ll also take responsibility for your own personal development and we’ll support you with whatever step you want to take next.

| Requirements |
Ideally you’ll:
• Be educated to GCSE grade C and above including English and Maths • Be P.C literate to include basic MS Office i.e. Word and Excel • Have previous supervisory and retail/customer service experience • Have effective communication skills both verbal and written • Have good organisational skills and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment • Have previous experience in optics in either retail or a production/manufacturing environment
You’ll need to demonstrate good attention to detail along with good customer service. Team work is a big part of our culture so the ability to work well with other people is essential. You’ll also need to be enthusiastic, have a willingness to learn and be willing to help others learn.
